The Assessment Team
Carol Toms - Lead IV Quality Co-ordinator
Carol gained experince in the older persons sector of Social Services for 16 years as a careworker and in various Management roles. Carol then gained her RMA and side stepped into training achieving her A1/V1 and 1st year Cert Ed. Carol supports the team as Lead IV and Quality Co-ordinator liasing with the External Verifier's as Quality Nominee.
Elaine Jones
Elaine has been working as a carer for adults with learning disabilities since 2002 and progressed to a team leader and acting Manager. Elaine completed her A1 Award to become a qualified Assessor in 2007. As well as undertaking her LDAF training, Elaine is also a qualified First Aider.
Pauline McGawley
Pauline McGawley has worked in the Care sector since 1990, she qualified as an Assessor in 1995 and then achieved her Internal Verifier award in 1996. Pauline has supported candidates to gain their NVQ Level 2, 3 and 4 in Health & Social Care and also supports candidates with their NVQ 4 Leadership & Management for Care Services. Pauline has updated her awards to the current A1 (Assessor Award) and V1 (Verifier Award) and also supports trainee Assessors to gain their own Assessors Award.
Leslie Tillyard
Leslie qualified as a registered nurse in 1994. Leslie became a training manager, during which time she had the opportunity to become an NVQ assessor, and to undertake the company’s NVQ’s. Leslie now finds herself working for Impact, and has never looked back. She is able to use her background to deliver NVQ’s, but also to be involved in delivering and developing courses in Learning Disabilities, Pressure Ulcers, Incontinence, diabetes and much more. She is happy to be working for a company that uses her skills, abilities and the experience that she has gained over the last 14 years.
Mandy Castle
Mandy started her career in the Care sector as a Care Assistant in 1993 and has also worked in Hospital as a Nursing Assistant. Mandy became an NVQ Assessor Co-ordinator in 2003 and now assess Level 2, 3 & 4 in Health and Social Care and NVQ Level 2 in Support Services.
Helen Beasley
Helen worked as a Health Care Assistant, qualified to level 3 in high dependancy care, covering aspects of spinal injury, motor neurone desease, tracheostamy and ventilator support systems for the last 10 yrs in northamptonshire. She supported individuals in their homes to live independant lives on 24hr care packages. Helen has her level 2 in literacy & numeracy, and other certificates including CPR and Medication awareness. Helen is qualified A1 assessor in health and social care and is currently working towards PTLLS qualification.
MaryJane Simpson
Maryjane has worked within the care sector since 1994 and she has worked with people of all ages. Her employment history includes work with young offenders, adult offenders, substance misuse, homelessness, looked after children, children with sensory impairment, young adults with autism and Aspergers, people with head injury and the elderly both within their own homes and in care home environments.
In addition to relevant professional qualifications Maryjane holds the A1 Assessors award, V1 Verifiers award and Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector.
Maryjane assesses Health and Social Care at level 2 and 3 and has been delivering the apprenticeship framework at Impact Training Services since 2008. She has recently taken on the role of Key Skills Tutor.
Lucy Jadav
Lucy has worked in Health and Social care for almost 20 years starting out as a carer, then working in a hospital environment as a senior carer. She then returned to residential care and quickly rose up the ranks to become an officer in charge for Leicestershire County Council.
Lucy trained to be an assessor as she wanted carers to feel they had achieved something and to be able to work to the standards required.
Lucy has also completed her PTTLS training and feel this benefits her learners.
